Leave Yachthafen Wesel and continue up the Rhein to the junction with the Wesel-Dateln Kanal Km 813. Enter the Wesel-Dateln Kanal on the east side continuing along the main channel until you see the schleusen

Schleusen Munster VHF 22 - floating bollards on east side - down Mooring at Km 80 in old canal on east side :- Marina Alte-Fahrt Fuestrup - water, electricity, restaurant. Tel :- 00 49 257 13896 Traveling shop comes each day - very good stock of provisions. We have left the boat here. Good for winter moorings. Munster is worth a visit, but you will need to use a taxi.

Leave Marina Alte Fahrt Fuestrup and continue up the Dortmund-Ems Kanal to the Junction with the Mittellandkanal at Km 108.4
Turn east along Mittellandkanal At Km 4.4, entrance on the south side to the old chanel - moorings for boats on both sides of the chanel Km 30 – Stichkanal Osnabruck on south bank. Go down this kanal to Km 6, mooring on east bank at :- Yachthafen MYC Osnabruck - water, electricity, bar Tel :- 00 49 5407 4839 There is a small town to the east - about 1.5 Km - Hollage. This has good shopping. Go west along Hollager Strasse to Halen - railway station for train to Osnabruck. Osnabruck is well worth a visit.

Leave Yachthafen MYC Osnabruck, return to Mittellandkanal and continue east to Km 97 mooring at :-
Mindender YC, Minden - wifi, water, electricity, restaurant. Tel :- 00 49 571 9419178 Depth is about 1.5m It is worth getting the bus from the end of the road into Minden

Leave Mindender YC and continue east along the Mittellandkanal to Km 149 - Bunkerstation Heizol. It is worth filling up with diesel - will take Eurocards.
Continue along the Mittellandkanal to Km 164 mooring at :- Yachthafen Hanover - wifi, water, electricity, restaurant Shell diesel is available - Eurocards accepted. Tel :- 00 49 173 1734488 Supermarket - 1Km Bus into Hanover - 15 minutes to the centre. Well worth a visit.

Schleusen Anderten VHF 18 - cleats - up Continue to Km 213.5 - Stichkanal Salzgitter on south bank. Go down Stichkanal to Km 3.5 turning into mooring on east bank :- Marina Heidanger - wifi water, electricity, restaurant Tel :- 00 49 530 26400

Leave Marina Heidanger, take great care exiting marina. up Stichkanal Salzgitter to Junction and turn east.
At Km 233.5 turn north down Elbe-Seitenkanal to Km 38.5 mooring on west bank at :- Wittinger Sporthafen - water, electricity, restaurant Tel :- 00 49 152 31794523 Shops 4Km We have left the boat here, but it is not all that easy to get to using public transport.

Leave Sportboothafen Wittingen and turn north up the Elbe Seitenkanal to the junction with the Mittellandkanal and turn east to :-

A visit to the Autostadt is obligatory! Website :- autostadt.de Allow a day to visit the VW museum and attractions.

Before crossing the Mittelandkanal Aqueduct over the Elbe, call the Brucke Mister on VHF 26. Passage across the aqueduct takes place in convoy. Moor up on the south bank at the sportsboat quay. When called, travel across the aqueduct to KM 325 Doppelschleuse Hohenwarthe VHF 26 - floating bollards only on south side - down to Elbe-Havel Kanal Continue along Elbe-Havel-Kanal to Km 333, Mooring places on east bank - no facilities, or Continue to KM 334 mooring at :- WSF Burg E.V. - water, electricity Tel :- 00 49 3921 987986 There are shops in Burg.

Schleuse Zerben VHF 20 - cleats - down Schleuse Wusterwitz VHf 18 - cleats - down Km 379 Entrance to Grosser Wendsee to Plauer See (Untere Havel-Wasserstrasse) mooring at Km 67 on south side :- Eisenbahner-Segelclub Kirchmoser E.V.(ESCK) - water, electricity, restaurant. For the restaurant check if you can use a Eurocard. Tel ;- 00 49 338 1802532 Kirchmoser is interesting Walk north on Am Seegarten towards Plaue. Walk south on Unter den Platanen - there is a supermarket.

Schleuse Brandenburg VHF 20 - up - cleats Havel - Trebel See to Ketzin. Km 32 Paretz - Junction with the Havelkanal For the Mecklenberg Lakes turn north. Sacrow-Paretzer-Kanal - Jungfern See At the junction of Sacrow-Paretzer Kanal Km 18 turn towards the north for the Mecklenberg Lakes.
